Bouldering Comp round one

Record numbers turn out at round one of the Summit centre summer boudering series 2009: Lots of prizes & great fun evening!!! It was a wet Wednesday evening, but over 60 budding climbers sought refuge from the miserable weather, in the excitement of enrolling for the 1st round of the Summit centre summer bouldering competition 2009. Spirits were high and the competition was wide open in all the categories. With the favorite James Kuntz route setting, the male category was up for grabs, but then we couldn't forget serious contenders such as Kev Hughes, Liam Fyfe and Bill Gregory who all performed to the highest standard...

In the female category, there was a suprise entry by the Frugtniet sisters, who blew the category out of the water!!! However this bouldering competition is still wide open for anyone to win the 2009 summer bouldering series title.

The next round will be on the 8th of July. It starts at 6:30pm till 9:00pm
